I asked a similar question earlier and I want to thank everyone who gave m some ideas. Some of the songs i already have planned on using but thats ok. Now I have just talked and went over things with my fiance and he wanted me to ask of any songs that he could use as the dance for his mom and him. he said that he tried to find some and that none of them were the right ones but when he hears it it'll be the song.

Once again, we'd like to try to keep it country.

Thanks!

I have some ideas for your fiance. I included the lyrics to show you how powerful the words really are.

this is what is going to play for my fiance and his mom. He couldn't choose either... so he asked him mom to pick. she asked me to help her. when i played this song for her, she was in tears by the chours.

"A song for my son (on his wedding day)"
Mikki Viereck
i don't know where the time has gone
since those little boy days, doesn't seem that long
and here you are, it's wedding day.
and there's one thing darlin i'd like to say
be kind be sweet be a gentle man
care and share and always be fair
and remember though you know have taken a wife
you will always be my son
my loving son
you filled my life
with so much joy
as i watched you grow from that little boy
now i'll try not to cry as you walk away
but just once more darling
be kind be sweet be a gentle man
care and share and always be fair
and remember though you now have taken a wife
you will always be my son
my loving son

The second song... i would love to play for my mom because in my opinion, its another perfect "for mom" song.

"The wonder of you"
by elvis presley
When no-one else can understand me
When everything I do is wrong
You give me hope and consolation
You give me strength to carry on

And you're always there to lend a hand
In everything I do
That's the wonder
The wonder of you

And when you smile the world is brighter
You touch my hand and I'm a king
Your kiss to me is worth a fortune
Your love for me is everything

I'll guess I'll never know the reason why
You love me like you do
That's the wonder
The wonder of you

hope that helps!!

it is a really good tempo for a mother son dance, and a really good song

The Woman In My Life by Phil Vassar

She was there in the stands
Come rain or come shine
She was the lady that smiled all the time
I know times were hard, but she never let on
No, it wasn't easy
But she was so strong

And she believed in me
When I just gave up
She took all my worries
And she gave me love
She rocked me to sleep
With a sweet lullaby
I thank God for that woman in my life

So many bruises
And young broken hearts
And ill-fated arrows that all missed their marks
And I found a lover, like there's never been
She's my baby's mother
And she's my best friend

And she believes in me
When I just give up
She takes all my worries
And she gives me love
Yeah, she rocks me to sleep
With a sweet lullaby
I thank God for this woman in my life

Now she's two years old
And she's my biggest fan
And I'm wrapped 'round the fingers
Of her little hand

And she believes in me
When I just give up
She takes all my worries
And she gives me love
Yeah, I rock her to sleep
With a sweet lullaby
I thank God for this woman in my life
Oh, I thank God for this woman in my life

How about "Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison, she'll get a kick out of that.

God Bless you and have a wonderful life you two

Think of one of your moms favourite songs, even if its from the dinosaur age! That's what I did with my dad, Elvis of all things!
He was stoked!

Good Luck!
