I would go a little darker, such as maybe a deep burgundy color. Go to a beauty supply store that sells wigs and look at colors and try some on . That way you can see how the color will look without committing to it.

Depends on the girl and her face. Keysha Cole looks good with red hair. So did Charlie Baltimore back in the day.

If it is close to an auburn then it would look on darker skin women. On lighter skin I wouldn't go too bright maybe stay in the same brown/red area.
