I have a 6 year old son, and a boyfriend who i have been seeing for a few months and in love, we would really like to spend new year together but i cant get a babysitter for my son and i cant bring my son to my bf house as its a sheared house ie: 1 bed not practicle for a child. And i cant bring my bf to my house because my ex still lives there as we bought the house together years ago and its taking ages to see. Not the ideal situation or place to bring my bf. Im lost as to what to do please help?

take your son to your boyfriend's place along with an extra sleeping bag, and tell him he can stay up watching the tv. kids might like a change of pace, especially on a special day.

Spend the new year with your son He matters the most. You are really not making wise decisions. Your thinking waht is love is sex that ain't love. You totally don't know what it is if you have to ask which one to spend new years with lady for Christ sake HE IS YOUR SON !!! get your priorities straight! Can you imagine his self immage? Mommie would rather spend the night with a strange man who she has only been with for two months rather than me. And why are you living with your ex? Man! I am tired of reading about people train wrecking their lives like this with no second thoughts and no consequneces. It is so frustrating and breaks my heart for the little kids who learn to be callous at an early age.

Depends, who's more important? Your flesh and blood or some guy that you've been seeing for a few months. Yeah you're stuck if you can't find a baby-sitter you should plan ahead next time or maybe ask your parents.

Hmmm, could you perhaps ask your ex to look after your son? Or if he has plans you could still all go round to your boyfs house, let him kip on the sofa ! Happy New Year

Your first responsibility is to your son. If you have no other options, you must stay at home with him. Sorry. (Why can't your ex keep your son)? If he is unreliable, you should hurry up and end this situation.

Be patient, you two will have your time togather. But yes you will have to plan better next year.
