I'm a bit confused because i thought that (being a dwarf) was like a trait people is born with

I'm short (I'm 4 11)
because i'm indian(from colombia ) there is nothing wrong (physically) with my body my bones , hips are pretty much in a normal proportion... I'm just short and thin
I was never considered to be a dwarf or anything like that but sometimes people thinks that i am ...

So what am I?

Dwarfism is a condition characterized by short stature. Technically, that means an adult height of 4 feet 10 inches or under, according to the advocacy group Little People of America (LPA).

Most types of dwarfism are known as skeletal dysplasias, which are conditions of abnormal bone growth. They are divided into two types: short-trunk and short-limb dysplasias. People with short-trunk dysplasia have a shortened trunk with longer limbs, whereas those with short-limb dysplasia have an average-sized trunk but small arms and legs.

Pluto is in the solar system, just like Sedna and Eris. Pluto is considered a dwarf planet because it does not meet the three requirements that define a planet. a planet must: 1/ be non-luminous and orbit (or once have orbited) a luminous body or system (Pluto meets this requirement) 2/ be sufficiently massive that its own gravity pulls it into a spheroidal shape (Pluto matches this) 3/ be gravitationally dominant in its orbit (Pluto is not). Pluto does not meet rule 3, therefore it is not considered a planet, but a dwarf planet. It has nothing to do with its size, since it is large enough to meet rule 2.

You are small in stature. My best friend is 4'9" and wears a size "0". People do come in all shapes and sizes.

One definition of a dwarf is:

1. person small for medical reasons: somebody of small stature due to medical reasons, usually somebody with an average-sized body but unusually short limbs, or somebody with growth hormone deficiency

So, no, you are not a dwarf.

You have to have a certain gene to be a dwarf. Just being short doesn't make you a dwarf. There are many types of dwarfism, so many different genes can be affected.

there's a certain height 4 something, that if you don't pass it by the time you're 18 then you're considered a dwarf. That doesn't mean that medically you have a form of dwarfism, if you did you'd know by now
