1 Pound = 3200 Calories
Burn 5 x 3200 calories more than you consume over the next couple of weeks, and you have lost 5 pounds. Sounds really simple, but is harder in real life.
Make sure that you are losing fat and not water weight. Weigh yourself at the same time everyday (mornings before breakfast is best)
You can join an exercise group, and as long as you are watching what you eat, could probably lose the weight pretty fast.
Good job catching it now before it becomes 10 lbs!

You don't need to lose 5 pounds to "be okay". You should be okay with yourself just the way you are. I'd definily tak to someone about that insecurity, preferably God.
Just the same, if you want to feel better about yoursself, used good old-fashioned diet and excersise.

Chewing each morsel of ur food at least 32 times before taking another one. In other words slow down the speed of ur eating and take plenty of light exercises plus brisk walks.

check out the weight watchers site for free healthy recipes, and the message boards for support. Be sure to drink at least 6 full glasses of water daily, and try and make choices of higher fiber, lower fat foods.
