The draft wont be happening anytime soon. There are still enough brave and courageous souls who want to serve and protect of their own volition.

The draft will never be reinstated. But once I am 18 I'll be joining the USMC (Marines) or the USAF ( Air Force )

I hate how you need to be 18-22 to join the military. It should be changed to 26 or atleast 24. If that is done more people are likely to join. If that happens the need for a draft will be even less.

If any of you plan to join once you're 18 or if you're younger then 22.
I suggest joining the Air Force. It's rather difficult to get into. But you're less likely to die. If you want to be out on the battlefield with your platoon, I suggest the Marines. In the Army you only need to serve 2 years. Marines/Navy/AirForce you need to serve a minimum of 4 years.

The Marines is: Air, Land, Sea.

The Army is: Land

The Navy: Sea

The AirForce: Air

The ARMY is always sent out if there is a war. The MARINES are the first to be sent out. The Navy and AirForce will be the safest.

"The few, The proud, The Marines"

I salute you.

I apologize, I misread. The maxium age to join is 35 to join the army. The Air Force is 27 but if you've had been in the service before they'll let your age slid a bit. If you want to join the Air Force an you're 32 it won't be a huge issue.

I forgot which branch it was but if you're 45 an you were previously in the service they'd let you join again. That's old!

But if I was at that age I wouldn't mind!

A. No... I'm 62 and won't be drafted....
B. The draft is not likely to be reinstated
C. If there were a draft and I were of age I would enlist... which I did when there was and I was.

First of all, the max enlistment age is about 38 now. It was 34 when I was in, but since Iraq, they pushed it up.

Anyway, I'm too old, broke down, and lazy.

If it is activated you don't have much of a choice but to go to war... A person might as well enlist then they can go for what they want to.

I won't, no. Simply because I have already done eight years in the service; also because I am 44 years old.
