The old full size ones, before about 1995, were excellent.

The mid-size S-10 or S-15 style are pretty poor performers with poor reliability. No better mileage than the full size ones either.

In my opinion they are only as good as any GM product which is mediocre at best.

I sum it up this way. Total cost of repairs on our two new GM's after the warranty period: $6800

Total in repairs after warranty period on our Nissan, Toyota, Honda vehicles: $0

Toyota has different RAV4, Highlander, 4Runner, and other SUV vehicles based on your performance/price needs. I recommend it. Did you know that the most "Made in America" car a few years back was the Toyota Camry. Made with more USA manufactured parts than any of the Big 3 American companies cars. Don't feel like a traitor. It is your money, get the best for your buck.

I've heard that they are good. Also I believe they are 4 wheeled drive so that would make them good for off road and climbing hills & mountain roads. But you might want to check how many miles to a gallion. Contact a G.M.C. dealership, even take a test drive. What's the harm then you'd be really informed to making your choice.

Cars are a tossup depending on where you get them and which one you get. I am sure that there are good ones out there and people who will say they are great cars. Me personally, I have had one and it was the biggest pile of crap I ever owned. Make sure that you do your research before you buy, get the lemon checks done, and make sure to get a warranty. I did not do this and paid dearly for it.

the biggest problem they have are the ball joints and if you have to replace them use the better quality ones
plus the oil filter housing has two alum lines that will rot out, if there in bad shape they need to be replaced
if they go the motor goes to..

i love the ninety 4 with the 4.3 litre engine , the motorcar might want to be slightly rusty inspite of the indisputable fact that the drivetrains are sturdy and they make sufficient skill for plowing or towing or romping by the airborne dirt and mud strong success guy
