There will never be world peace as long as there is religion namely the christian and islamic religion, theyve been causing trouble since the day they were created, of course the christians will say there will be no peace without christianity, they have an obvious bias, I for one am an ex christian and i see both sides of the fence.

How do you propose to remove the two religions?
Do you think it could be done peacefully? It would take violence and still would not banish the religions.
In order for the entire world to be at peace, people must love one another as they would themselves. Anything short of that and there will be war in some fashion.

Even if all religion was removed completely, people would still be fighting over such things as power, land, money, material possessions. Also fighting over other people being someone they love, hate, are infatuated with or are jealous of. Theres no end to what we will fight over. With religion out of the way it would stop a lot of warring though.

If we remove every trace of organized religion from the face of the earth, then yes, we will find peace.
To all you christians who say that god has given you peace, understand that god is the one that made me an atheist. god is the reason we had the crusades. god is the one who terrorizes you every night with the fear of hell. god is reason we had the salem witch trials. god allows evil into the world under his every watching gaze while having the power to stop it.
god is a tyrant. There is only the self, and the self is peace

no, those arent idealistic conflicts about religion. people are gonna argue all the time. the removal of religion will just create individual arguements rather than groups of people arguing. individual conflicts dont create wars so it wont be world peace because of the individual arguements but there wont be as many wars.

There won't be world peace until we rid the world of greed and self-righteousness. There won't be peace for as long as groups of people claim exclusivity to truth. There won't be peace until reason reigns. There won't be peace without charity and tolerance and justice.
Peace and pride are antithetical.
