RE:
I found a bottle of Liquore Galliano in my parents basement.?
It has a date stamp of 2.1.40, should I open it? or just leave it as a decorative bottle. It is 23/32 quart 80 proof. Thanks for you help.

First, tell your parents
Second, with their permission, sell it on ebay - some collector will pay you a lot for it I bet and then you can buy something a lot better for you than 66 year old 80 proof spirits.
Third, Galliano gave me the worst hangover I ever had, so don't mess with it!

I have a bottle from my parents as well, probably from the 70's-80's in the tall soldier box. My bottle is unopened and still has the original sticker on the top and side of the bottle. It has a bar code number of 8912023082, is it worth anything?? The box is in great shape as well.

Thats not a date stamp. thats a lot number.
The 23/32 refers to the size of the bottle.
(I want to say thats a fifth, but I wouldnt swear to it)
and lastly, Galiano is an herbal liquore - and not very tasty - which is probably why its still there unopened.
Keep it as a decoration if you like.

If you are asking does it have value, you'd have to do an internet search. Type in the name and the date in a search bar and see what come sup.
80 proof is high, so if you are a kid thinking of drinking it, it could kill you it's that strong.

If it was from the 1940s, then definately leave it, it is probably not safe to drink anymore and could be dangerous.
