Here is a good example and explanation of "to go Dutch".
My friend from Indonesia was invited by an Australian for a date. They went to the cinema first and the boy said, "let's just go Dutch, O.K.?" My friend did not really know what is the meaning of "going Dutch", so she just shrug her shoulders and say "O.K."
Later she found out that to go Dutch means, you each pay for his or her share of whatever expense involved.
After the movies they went to a restaurant, and again the boy suggested that they go Dutch.

At midnight the girl asked to be taken home. The boy complied and in front of the girl's house when the boy wanted to give her a good night kiss, my friend pushed him away and said: Let's go Dutch. You kiss yourself good night, and I kiss myself good night, O.K?
