You can use ascii codes (alt + trhee digit numbers)

alt 168 = ¿
alt 173 = ¡
alt 160 = á
alt 161 = í
alt 162 = ó
alt 163 = ú
alt 164 = ñ
alt 165 = Ñ
alt 129 = ü

or if you are using MS Word as your editor you can just press crtl + the symbol and then the letter

ñ = hold (crtl +shift + ~) then n
á = hold (crtl + ') then a

As others have said, press down ALT and type in 164 (lower case) or 165 (upper case). In most word processing programs, simply go to Insert, then Symbols and scroll through the Arabic symbols- you'll find the N with a tilde (the little swigly line on top).

For apostrophes, there are similar ALT codes, and the same with Symbols insertion.

ALT + 162- ó
ALT + 163- ú
ALT + 161- í
ALT + 160- á

Hope that helps!

Alt + 164 or Alt + 0241 = ñ

Alt + 165 or Alt + 0205 = Ñ

But the best place where you can get these is from you Microsoft Office Word. All you have to do is open it, obviously, then press the insert tab at the top of the window (where the file, edit, view…are). Then you got to (Symbols…). If you have your (Font:) as (normal text) and your (Subset:) as (Latin-1) then you will be able to view most of the Spanish letters. Hope this helps!

A chart with several of the ALT codes can be found here:

They will help you to use a variety of letters and symbols not found on the standard keyboard. I use them so infrequently that I often forget, but in order to use them, you must have the number lock on and you must use the numbers on the number pad, not those at the top of the keyboard.

Happy typing! =)

All the answers are right, the other option is to buy a Spanish keyboard, which already has these included. There are many places where you can find keyboards with the Spanish layout.

"hold down the "ALT" key and then type in the number associated with the letter. Once the number is typed in release the "ALT" key and the letter will appear."

FOR THE ACCENT: 133
Ñ 165

Try this site, bring it up on a separate window, type what you want, then copy it and paste it in the other window.
