the worshiped god of the moon in pre-islamic was Hubal?

Seriously, fundie islamaphobes have tried to smear the Islamic concept of a monotheistic deity as pagan and "Moon God"ish. But since Hubal was the moon god that Arabs worshiped, where would Allah fit in?

Do you people do any research at all before you ask questions? First, do a root search on the name or word allah. You will find that the word or name allah is derived from the word or name baal. Do a search on baal, and you will find that Baal was the god of fertility, rain and vegetation that was worshipped by the Canaanites, often along with Ashtaroth, Baal's female consort, or counterpart who was the goddess of fertility and war. Baalism was a violent and evil religion, involving child sacrifice and cult prostitution. In the OT of the Bible, God sent his servant Jehu to destroy Baalism because it was a vile and evil religion. So is the worship of Allah just a resurrection of Baal worship? I think that it probably is, whether the people worshipping him do it knowingly or not. People say that it is just another name for God. I say that is a lie straight from Satan himself. Just the fact that muslims say that Jesus was not the son of God is enough for me to know that they are damned, and their religion false. Moon god? That is funny. I think that maybe that is just an insult.

Then why do most of the islamic countries have crescents on their flags? Read islamic myths and you will come across allah as moon God. Educate yourself. Remember that Christian God evolved from Sun as well.

thank you so much for bring this up! Everytime i or another muslim says that Allah is not a moon God, we get voted down for some reason. people hear some weird theory about something from a non-muslim and they choose to believe it despite protests of muslims. if people want to attack islam at least find a valid argument. something that makes some sense at least.

read the history of how the crescent became a symbol of islam and you'll understand. before that, there is no point in making a comment about anything. i'm saying this to the people who still want to believe we worship the moon. thanks

Please read and understand,

[041:037] And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate yourselves not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate yourselves to God Who created them, if you (really) worship Him.

Allah means God in English like
Dios means God in Spanish like
Dieu means God in French like
Gott means God in German

God from the dictionary

supreme being: the being believed in monotheistic religions such as Judaism, Islam, and Christianity to be the all-powerful all-knowing creator of the universe, worshiped as the only god

So to those who don't understand when we to pray to Allah we are praying to whom Christians refer to as the "Holy Father". We do not pray to Jesus or any of the other Prophets. Don't you think he the Creator of Universe (regardless of which language you refer to him) will be angry if you associate partners with him. Verily the Day of Judgment is true. So to me my deeds and to you your deeds.

So remember Allah refers to whom Christians call the Holy Father

[004:171] O people of the Scripture ! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of God aught but the truth. The Messiah 'Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of God and His Word, ("Be!" – and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him; so believe in God and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For God is (the only) One (God), Glorified is He (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And God is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.

[004:172] The Messiah will never be proud to reject to be a slave of God, nor the angels who are the near (to God). And whosoever rejects His worship and is proud, then He will gather them all together to Himself.
