She was a little rude but you and your girl were still able to see Monet's house right? You say this was the last day of a 11 day trip. ..That's a lot of time to spend with another couple. Maybe she just wanted to spend that last day with Chris by herself. Yes , she should have mentioned it sooner but if out of 11 days with another couple on a trip and this is your BIGGEST complaint .... you should consider yourself lucky.

I don't understand why you think it was rude. You had already spent 10 days in France together, and she probably just wanted to have a "romantic" time in Paris with her boyfriend! True, she could have told you the day before, but maybe she just decided that on the spur of the moment. But even if she didn't, you and your girlfriend still went there, didn't you? So I don't really what's rude about it. I mean, you're still going to see them at home, right? If her boyfriend was not happy about the situation, I don't think it is any of your business. You kind of remind me of my friend's sister-in-law!!!

Not sure that I understand what the problem is. She didn't stop you and your gf going did she? Why shouldn't they go off and do their own thing. I realise that she changed her mind late but I would rather her do that than come along and not really want to be there. I don't think that she was being rude....and she did say 'do you mind if I don't come'. I think that you are being a little too sensitive.

I don't think she did anything wrong either. I would have been glad from the break from being around these people for 11 days. It didn't spoil your plans did it? Did you still go? I hope so. She did cancel a little late, but what's the problem? I hope it didn't spoil your trip.

I don't feel it was rude. Maybe her and her man got in a fight that you are unaware of or maybe she simply just did not want to go. Chances are if she gave you a reason it would not have been the truth anyways. Would you rather have been lied to? Plans change all the time.

Yes it was rude to break plans after committing to them without giving proper notice. If they did not want to go they should have said that before planning on going. I would not hold a grudge though..but mabye explain to them that you were offended in order to salvage the friendship. I would not hold a grudge personally but yes it was rude because you all did make plans.

Maybe her reason was a personal one (not feeling well, women's troubles, etc). She didn't interfere with your going, and she had the courtesty to ask if your gf minded. She wasn't rude at all IMHO.

So go by yourself. She didn't want to go,be glad, there is nothing worse than be with someone that doesn't want to be where you want to go.
