My cat Panda had the squirts for months also, found out he was allergic to deer meat, wheat and beef. But, if your vet has checked for worms and other parasites and couldn't find anything, then it is possible for a cat to become allergic to certain ingredients in his food. Ask your vet about trying this first it could save you hundreds. I spent over a hundred on animal meds, then my vet told me to try one more thing. My vet wasn't sure of doing this but I tried it with Panda and it took about a week to work and he's not had the squirts for nearly a year. Get a bottle of liquid children Imodium A-D, it only comes in mint last I knew. Divide the lowest dosage in half, then that amont in half to you get to an amount for your cats weight. The bottle says for 48-59 pounds take 3 tsp, half is 1 1/2 tps. for 24 pounds using lowest weight, If your cat is 12 pounds then give 3/4 tps. adjust to smaller amounts if your cat is less then 12 pounds. Give only 2 times a day at most and stop as soon as squirts clear up, if bowels are formed but loose stop giving and see if his body can take it from there. Use a syringe, your vet can give you one to administer orally. It may take two people to do this, it did for me, I was workinig with a 22 pound cat also! If squirts com back give dosage again. Always keep litter box clean, we changed the litter twice a day somethimes. It did work for Panda, but took a week. My vet and I had tried many different things to get my cat better and all failed, but the Children's Imodium did work. Good luck

Agreeing with all the above posts, you need to get your cat to the vet Right Away. Any problem that persists for more then a week should be discussed with your vet, and waiting on this for months was not smart in the least.

Your cat could have any number of problems, some of which could be serious and could have gotten much worse because of your neglect. Likely your cat could have worms, parasites or something serious such as intestinal cancer, which sadly just took one of my cats from us. Intestinal cancer causes prolonged diarahhea in cats, but can be treated if it is caught early.

I hope that your cat does not have something this serious, but as a pet owner you really need to be more cautious about the health of your cat - if your child had a condition such as this would you have let it go for this long?

Hope this helps.

Going to go on a limb here and hope that the only reason you have not taken your cat to a vet is due to lack of finances. Most vets will make payment arrangements and some will let you work of the bill with volunteer hours. Let them know cost is a concern and they will start off with the basics first - fecal test (usually$10-20) and antibiotics (also usually $10-20). If he is growling, he is in pain. Please, please, take him to a vet.

You can give your cat half an Immodium tablet for now. But it needs to see a vet, it could have worms, or various other things.

Your cat could have a whole host of problems. The only way to take care of this problem is to take him to the vet.

MONTHS??? Why are you here writing? You should be in the vets' waiting room right this second.
Have him seen by a veterinarian right away, he must have something seriously wrong with him!
