Don't do it. Your parents may be "old" and "lame" in your eyes, and you might think "they just don't understand", but they are right on this one. You shouldn't do something this drastic while you're a kid that you can't change when you're an adult. As you get older, the way you think WILL change many times. You weren't the same when you were 5 as you were at 10. You won't be the same at 15 as you will be at 30, and so on.... This whole ear gaguing thing is mainly a fad, and you can't reverse it. It leaves your ears looking very bad and if you ever want to get a real job or have a normal life in the future you will regret you did this when you were "young and dumb". And trust me, you will look back when you are older and say, "when I was young and dumb I..." I am 29 years old. I am a music producer, and have many friends and family members who are in rock bands, so I know what it's like to be "cool". However, when I was in my teens my parents had a video camera and would tape us kids doing all kinds of things. When I look back on those tapes, they are cool and funny, but I CAN'T BELIEVE some of the things we were wearing and they way we looked back then. It's good for a laugh in the future, but I'm glad I didn't do anything permanent that I couldn't go back and change. I hope this helps you make a better decision. I know you hate to hear this, but TRUST YOUR PARENTS. They only want you to have every possible opportunity you can in the future. When you're grown, you can still gague your ears if you want, but at least by then, you'll be old enough to realize the long-term consequences of your actions. By the way---keep up the good grades and good behavior!!

I'm sure that waiting til you're sixteen seems like a crazy idea but that would be the best idea. Atleast then your parents will be okay with it...if you start it now they won't accept it and probably won't let you do it even after you turn 16. I've had my ears guaged (at a 1/2in at the moment) for about two years now and my parents hate them, but they still said if i waited til i was 15 they would let me do it.

You will have plenty of time to augment your body. You're young and there are always going to be things you feel you have to do "right now". Believe me, when you get older you'll look back and wish you could make some changes. I can't change your parents' mind, but you should just be patient.

Well. My parents wouldn't let me gauge my ears either. So my boyfriend got me some gauges for christmas so they couldnt say no after that.

You sound like you already have enough holes in your head, you don't need any more.
