How is looking sick cool? I don't get it. I'm super pale naturally, and I don't tan, like at all, and I hate it. People always say how they wish they were pale like me, and at the same time they ask whether I'm healthy or not because I'm so pale. Like, I'm not going to go out and get a fake tanor anything, ok? Just stick to your natural color and accept yourself, seriously.

I'm just saying, because every time I refresh I see the question, how can I make my skin paler?

I'm pale and I LOVE it.
I really don't see why people automatically think it makes you look sick.
That's like saying that ALL tan/darker people look like leather.
It's just not necessarily true.
Having said that, I know what you mean about people wanting to change their skin color.
I hate hearing about people bleaching their skin just as much as I hate hearing about people tanning to be darker.
I don't get it.

i agree with you, i am so pale naturally and i can't get tanner no matter what. of course i've tried self tanners but they make me look so orange so i've gotten rid of that. now i dust on a teeny bit of bronzing powder in the evening on special occassions so i look healthier and in the morning i use nars the multople to add a natural healthy glow. i don't understand why people try so hard to get paler, i'm not obssessed with getting darker, just to lok healthy naturally and i think if you have confidence, then you'll seem beautiful to everyone.
ps everywhere else in the world people who have paler skin are the superior ones, only americans like tanned skin. it's a fact not an opinion, maybe that's why.

I'm pale naturally and I just accept this fact and I dont fight hours under the sun anymore trying to get tanned. Not good to be on the sun even wearing sunscreen. Pale skin also delivers an idea of feminine and delicate european looks. Keep taking care of your skin!

In Asian countries, especially in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, etc... having pale/fair/white skin is indicative of beauty and to a certain extent -- economic status. If you check it out, most Asian stars have fair skin - not only because it is natural for the Asians (at least for most Asians) but also because light skin is favored highly. I, being Asian, personally wish to have light skin! Well, I do have light skin but I want it lighter. But not the 'white person pale' shade but those of Asians like me. Whitening products is a big market in Asia. So yeah, it's not just a simple obsession but also a part of the culture in some parts of the world...

Enjoy it. I am pale and I have naturally black hair and I love it. I don't look like Wednesday Addams or anything, but I look real good. No I am not gothic, well not totally. Pale is cool looking, I don't like it when ppl tan. Being natural dark is cool too, but I wouldn't wanna tan like in a tanning bed or anything. I know you could tan, you can get that lotion that makes you darker. I think pale is bomb!

I think people are always obsessed with one thingor the other weather it be straight hair or curly hair or being paler or tanned.. sometimes im like that too-- i have an olivey complexion and sometimes i want to be darker so i wear darker bronzer or go out in the sun and sometimes i feel like being lighter colored!! Its just change... I guess they would want to be paler because its the in thing for them at the time...

I think it is great that pale is coming back into fashion!! (At least for caucasians). It's unhealthy to get a tan - a tan is a scar!! Naturally dark skin is beautiful, but so is pale skin like Nicole Kidman's ivory complexion. Learn to love it!!

I don't know why people want to change their skin color, either by tanning or by paling themselves. It's weird. Plus it looks way unnatural. Like when someone goes on vacation and comes back all tanned and creepy looking. Freaks me out.

I don't think it is an obsession with being pale, I think it is because of the scare of sun and cancer. I too am like you even though my mother had a naturally darker complection. Maybe they like the contrast of their darker skin against our paleness. LOL I do agree with you, go aunatural, it is the best and healthiest way.

For the same reasons people are obsessed with getting a tan, its different.
They just need to accept themselves for who they are and, when they lack this quality it explains why they obsess over how pale you are and how they are not.
