I assume from your question that you are an atheist, so why don't you tell us?

Because:

1) Many of the founding fathers we're athiests.
2) They have a right to be here
3) In this country we have religious freedom, are you suggesting a theocracy?

Read the first amendment to the constitution - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

Because then who would fill the vacant scientist positions? Every country needs smart people to advance society, what would be the sense in kicking them out?

Because our founding fathers, using God's wisdom, granted everyone the freedom of religion, and that includes the rights of athiests not to believe.

And to the answerer who thinks this question was asked by a Christian, I would urge you to rethink that. Don't judge Christians by the folks on YA. Many are just imposters.

Because they have a right to be here. A better question would be, why haven't all the right wing fundamentalists just taken their blood for oil money and purchased an island where they can all live and worship their God without having to spread that disease of hate and torment among the rest of us?

Perhaps because many so called 'Christians' are closer to the atheist than they currently realize. Biblical Christianity accepts that Satan and his followers can have Jesus in their life(?), they just do not have Jesus first in their life. Are many USA 'Christians' currently different?
