Your faith is no faith and my faith is the wrong faith and I am evil for preaching love and forgiveness, right? Hang on, theres more. I am angry and mean because I want you to look at everyone equally. (christian or non-christian) I am ignorant about everything including the bible, because I did not actually see any of this happen right?Yet you may or may not believe in evolution, but you have never seen a person turn from a monkey to a man? Where am I wrong and why do you constantly point out the faults of others and not the ones within yourself.

Let me just say that christians are allowed to get angry also and I am sorry if I sounded like a loon. but I am tired of being told I am the angry one when I respond to something much more offensive than this.

I'm atheist- Only because I really haven't heard of any good enough reasons to be a part of any religion. I just can't believe the stories they preach. I agree with the teachings of church as far as being a good person, and I think that religion is good for some people and it brings them closer and makes them a better person with certain hopes for things.....but I enjoy not having a religion.....

I am deploying soon to a dangerous place, so maybe I'll take up praying when I'm being shot at (they say "no one in a fox hole is atheist")

Hard to know where to start here.

Almost everyone on this board believes their faith is the right one -- at least for them. That is spiffy.

I am guessing you still don't quite get atheism, but I am sure if you *read* some of the answers you receive, you will begin to understand that is just means a person does not believe in god.

As for seeing a person evolve -- nope, have never seen it. It takes too long for me to watch it.

Ever see a man come back from the dead? You haven't, and neither has anyone else. It doesn't stop an awful lot of people from believing it happened once.

All fine -- it's just that there's a lot more scientific evidence for the monkey thing than the dead coming back to life thing.

You assume that you are being treated like this only by those whose "fath is no faith". You assume incorrectly. I don't believe in God, but I agree with some of what you are saying. Christians and non-Christians should be treated equally. Love and forgiveness are important, although perhaps we believe so for different reasons. I have never seen a person turn from a monkey to a man, because we did not evolve from monkeys, we evolved from a common point of origin, as evidenced by fossils. I am sorry if it upsets you that not everyone is not willing to accept everything that you say as fact, but by attacking those whose "faith is no faith", you show yourself to be no different.

ha atheiests believe things based on proof and what evidence says happend. its kind of like if you took a guy to court for murder, the athiest will look at the evidence and if theres a bloody knife with the mans fingerprints on it and 20 witnesses saying that they saw him stab a guy then the athiest will think that the man is guilty, but the christian is the guy that relys on hearsay. if the same evidence was presented to a christian, he would go out of his way to make the evidence fit the accused mans story because the christian believes that the mans story has to be true and everything that happend has to agree with the story no matter what the evidence says.

thats why athiests hate christians. they dont look at things with the view that their beliefs could be wrong, they look at their beliefs as absolute and evidence has to fit their beliefs, whereas the athiest looks at the evidence as absolute and their beliefs reflect what the evidence tells them. athiesm is the religion of people who can put together the puzzle for themselves and christianity is the religion for people who rely on someone else to make the conclusions for them.

i hope that helps you understand the hatred that most athiests seem to have toward christians... im agnostic because deep down everyone is. we dont have all of the answers no matter how much you want to believe it.

I did not see you type your question, by your deduction, this isn't faith. Proof by sight becomes fact, not faith.
You can't prove faith of the supernatural by the natural.
Falls short every time.

Hmmm, no...I think the difference is we both say "I don't know" but you follow up with "Oh wait, God does, and now He just told me."
