Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has no meaning. without meaning, life has no significance or hope.
We were made to have meaning. This is why people try dubious methods, like astrology or psychics, to discover it. When life has meaning, you can bear almost anything; without it, nothing is bearable.

We are here to learn the oracles of God, to build are spirits to prepare for God and heaven, and learn through experiences, do God's will for his purposes and pleasures.

Life has only one meaning...to enjoy all you encounter. Try not to miss anything. Seek out the sunsets, the sunrises. Look at the clouds every chance you get. Look closely at a flower or a leaf. Stop and smell the roses, as that saying goes. People get so wrapped up in the daily grind, job, school, etc. that they miss the beauty of life on Earth.

If you don't already, start to keep a daily or weekly journal. Note something special about each day if you can. At the end of a certain period, go back and read what you put down. It's fun, and enlightening about the workings of your own mind and experiences in your life.

So...the meaning of life is to live it--thankfully and with much seeking. Good day, and have a Happy New Year!!!

Trick question! There's no meaning, most religious people believe we are made in gods image to live and prove our faith to god, and others, like me, know that the world will end in a supernova caused by the lack of gases on the sun in about 5 billion years, so if we don't end up in a nuclear catastrophe, we will need to find a way to get off this planet and on to another perhaps in another universe. If you want to know more about other universes' visit: http://www.mkaku.org/ you'll find his information helpful.

Bottom line, We make the choice to keep living, and we make decisions that will prove to better or worsen our own existence; and our existence is lived on by our kids and families in the photo albums and sill frames that they reminisce through. So would you like to leave a memory of hate, discontent, sadness and unhappiness?

Personally, I live for the chance to make my mark on the world; a chance to be someone greatly unforgettable. I share my life with my wife who shows me how to be a better person and I try, because in life we love and though we may have it "all"... It is nothing with out my wife.

So I answer you question with another, what do you live for? Answering this question will help you better understand the meaning of you life.

It's not a religious answer. It's probably the stupidest explanation I've heard for why we're here! "Oh, the meaning of life is to serve god." Well, I must say that you have a very bleak future ahead of you! What's god's master plan after all? First we're tested on earth for a crime we didn't commit. Then we either burn in hell forever for a mistake our ancestors made or we go up to heaven, where we are stripped of every emotion accept for love and happiness. Then what? We have no desire to do anything except for worshiping god, for all eternity!!!

The meaning of life is the pursuit of happiness

To LIVE of course!
Life is about losing, putting on a brave face and getting on with it the best way you know how.
Being kind to your fellow man. Doing the best to your ability to help. Try to be happy and grateful as possible you got the opportunity to breath life.

To learn to love all things, most of all, yourself. To learn to be happy. To do what you love and have passion for. To leave the world a better place because you have been part of it. To learn and evolve into a better person. To endure the tragedies of life with grace and dignity. To learn to think unselfishishly. To learn to be an optimist, not a pessimist. To learn to have as open of a mind as your were born with (in other words, to deprogram all the garbage the world puts into your head). To learn that simplicity is the key to life.

As I define it... to buy as many '69 chargers you can lay your hands on, worship Chip Foose (et al), rebuild them and set them free upon the unsuspecting public, preferably with a really hot sound system in each car, chase women and convert them all to lesbians. Hey you asked.

I wish I knew.

No explanation about "who are we", "where are we", and "what are we doing here" satisfies me entirely.

I only know we should survive and reproduce without harming and possibly helping others do the same... that's all?

No, there is more: learning about the beauty of this universe.
