The use of Garlic (Allium Sativum) as a charm against Vampires is not a foolproof way to ensure your safety. Garlic is at best unpleasant to the Vampiric Species, and while it can effectively repel younger, lesser, and female Vampires; ot os likely to attract and enrage greater males Vampires.
In Romania, garlic is a weapon of very great importance in the everlasting battle against vampires. Lots of Romanians used to make certain that they ate some garlic every day for their personal protection. But they also smeared garlic on the windows and the doors of their houses, on the gates to their farmyards, and even on the horns of their cattle, and yet, Vlad The Impaler as well as other notorious and powerful Greater Vampires chose to make thier home there, preying on the Romanian population.
The best way to protect yourself against Vampires is with jigh-pitched sounds. The 17mhz mosquito ringtone so popular among the younger generation these days is an effective repellant against Vampires, even ancient ones.
Good Luck and stay safe!

Don't take garlic take GARLIQUE.
A healthy heart, a healthy life. Garlic has been used for centuries to support a healthy cardiovascular system. Garlic contains the chemicals alliin and allinase. These two chemicals combine to produce allicin — the active ingredient in garlic which most scientists believe is responsible for providing this important support for cardiovascular health.*
You will be healthier and never need worry about vampires.

well, actually you have to SEE the vampire first before you have to list your prevention plan of not-seeing them. but actually if you do eat a LOT of garlic, there could be another chance that the vampire will bite you - that is if they attack you from behind, where your mouth odor can't reach efficiently..
erm.. i didn't answer your question, rite? so i'll pick 2..

One or two cloves should do it. Or they make garlic pills for health reasons at health food stores these days. Much easier to take.
