The best advice that I could give you would be to read your owners manual. It will tell you which grade of oil (IE:10w40) that you should use. As for the oil I would recommend a synthetic oil. The best one on the market is AmsOil but it is hard to find because you have to be a dealer to sell it. Usually an individual, not an auto parts store. As for the transmission fluid... read the owners manual there too because there are several types of automatic transmission fluid(ATF) on the market. I don't recommend going to the dealer for either your oil or atf as you will pay more for it there than at your favorite parts store.

Very, very few cars are investments. Usually, you pay more than they are worth and then they depreciate over time. Im amazed any Hyundai made it 275k. It may or may not be a reliable car for you. With that many miles, its a big if. But then, most cars for $2000 and under are "ifs" or gambles in a way. You are gambling that it will last. Sometimes its hard to tell, even when you get it checked out first.

Look on the oil filler cap and see what it says. Also look in the owners manual or call a dealership and ask the service dept
