Not likely. The gas would escape through the path(s) of least resistance (out the way it came or as some really bad flatulence). However, there would be a lot of painful internal injuries as the pressure released and is about as inhumane a thing as I can imagine.

well if it didn't I cant see where the bird would feel very good --I am so hoping you are not thinking of doing this to any bird or any other animal for that matter--that would be abuse in the first degree--

Yes, it will kill the bird in a very painful and inhumane way. Hopefully you aren't going to do it.

What an awful question to ask?!?!?!?! I really hope you are joking...its quite in-humane and I hope you never try it...even if they dont "explode" then it could be fatal to them...just not right in my book..

ive heard that. Ive also heard its bad to throw rice at weddings because it can make the birds stomachs explode..
