Wash your hair, and then towel-dry. Then flip your head over, and put mousse in your hair. Divide your hair into small sections and scrunch.
Or you can try this, which might take 30 minutes to an hour to acheive, depending on the length and thickness of your hair:
1. Spray freshly washed roots with volumizing spray.
2. If your hair is naturally course or curly, work a straightening balm through it.
3. Blow dry your hair straight, starting at the roots to get extra volume. Your hair must be completely dry for this look to work. Blow cold air at the roots to add volume.
4. Separate your hair into three sections, securing it with a ponytail holder. (It's easier this way to curl your way through each section).
5. To curl your hair, use a 1-inch barrel curling iron. Starting with one section, take a 1-inch portion of hair and wrap it around the barrel of the curling iron. When you're curling, make sure to leave ends loose.
6. Roll and pin curl to your scalp.
7. Alternate the direction of the curl as you work your way through the section. (Wrap your hair under once, and then over the next time). Alternating directions makes curls look more natural.
8. Once pinned curls have cooled, release them.
9. Remove nozzle from dryer and gently loosen waves with cool air. You can also separate curls with your fingers, just make sure not to brush them out.
10. To add shine, spritz a hair serum.
11. Set with a spritz of hairspray. Just don't overdue it, you don't want the waves to be crunchy.

If it is straight braid it while it is wet, when it dries it will be wavy when you undo the braid. If it is curly a style gel will help set the waves without chemicals. Otherwise there are perms and straightners which are chemical processes - longer lasting but can damage your hair.

it depends if u have curly or straight hair....
if u have strait hair it's easy -- just sleep with curlers, or use a curler in ur hair while its damp..
if u have curly hair i would try maybe "relaxing" my hair (go to a hair salon or look this up on the internet for more info and to see if its right for ur hairtype), and then curling it like you would for straight hair, OR, if possible, straighten your hair with a flat iron first and then make it wavy...
good luck!

perm it, there are different types of perms. You should ask what type the salon offers. Most of the time they offer loose curls which would give you a wavy look!
