Ever since Bill Sr.'s detah in 2002 it seems like Ruger has been stumbling.
The Mark III is an unnecessary dog and they offer guns (P95, for example) that no one wants. They need to stick to the quality that they use with the Vaquero SAA Colt clone and rifles/shotguns. I have no Rugers at this point and do not plan on getting any until they get their act together.

They make more money manufacturing golf clubs.IMHO Rugers are o.k.,not the best,not the least.

I never cared for western-style grips on the Ruger big bore revolvers, but it's a personal feel thing, not a quality issue. I've owned two Ruger autos, a Mark II that I wish I had never sold, and P94 .40 that I currently own. I have no complaints about either.

No collection is complete with out a 10/22, and the new Mini-14 with the new 1:9 twist barrel and other upgrades is a beaut. I shot a one hole group at 100yards using handloads in a 69gr .223 using a friends new Mini-14 with a scope. I also hit a tennis ball every time at 300 yards with that scoped Mini. Then I shot the pieces of the tennis ball at 300 yards - hit every time. And this was a low power scope on this new Mini too.
I'd say they cleaned up the new 14 pretty well! Nobody I know could ever drive tacks with one of these!

I still like redhawks. But other then the revolvers IM not a big ruger fan.

i have loved every ruger gun that i currently own and those that i have sold or traded away. i don't have a mark iii, because i love my mark ii.
