Asymmetrical warfare.
It will last until everyone is content... fed, clothed, housed, employed...
It may never end. Unless we change as humans.

We aren't fighting a so-called 'War on Terror'. The Bush administration orchestrated the attacks on 9/11, as a way to TRICK the public into supporting military invasion of Iraq/Hussein for its own agenda.
Think your own government would never plan such a thing? Do an internet search for "OPERATION NORTHWOODS" and read the REAL formerly classified documents in which the U.S. government detailed its plans to FAKE TERROR ATTACKS, including using HIJACKED COMMERICIAL FLIGHTS, for the purpose of blaming Castro and gaining public support for ousting him and taking military control over Cuba. Sound familiar?
Note that Saddam Hussein was NOT tried for anything related to 9/11. Consider how much MORE money and effort was put into finding and executing him than in tracking down Osama bin Laden, who was allegedly responsible (even though the man in the infamous needle-in-a-haystack "confession" tape is clearly NOT him - compare and see). The 9/11 attacks are not even mentioned in the FBI's Wanted poster for him. George W. Bush stated that he was "not concerned" about bin Laden because HE KNOWS that Osama had nothing to do with it, and that the U.S. already had plans for starting a worldwide war as of 9/9/01, two days BEFORE the faked attacks.
WHY, when Bush's scheduled appearance at an elementary school on 9/11/01 had been well-publicized, didn't the Secret Service evacuate the schoolchildren and whisk him away to an unknown, secure location IMMEDIATELY, if the U.S. was TRULY under attack by foreign terrorists - especially since THREE suspicious incidents involving Middle Easterners threatening Bush were reported in the Florida town where he was staying on 9/10/01? Instead of being rushed to safety, he continued his visit with the children (rendering him unavailable to make defensive decisions that only the President can make), and then gave a press conference at exactly the time and place he was previously scheduled to be. When his plane finally left Florida over a half-hour later, there was still NO military security escort. Isn't the President supposed to be protected in the event of a REAL attack on the nation?
Don't take my word for it. READ the documents, and consider the mountain of other fishy facts and evidence exposed by LooseChange911, Cooperative Research, and other sites and decide for yourself.

Until we get a president that doesnt care what the public and the rest of the World think; people would say Bush, but no. He keeps basing his decisions on the public.
We need a President and Congress that will KILL every threat. We capture people trying to make an act of terror (Like they did in Britain a couple months ago) and the next day execute them and make it televised throughout the world. And any country that fund terrorism, bomb them to Hell; literally. After a couple years of these policies the War on Terror would be over.
Is it brutal? Yes. Would it work? Yes.

Terrorism always existed and will always exist. War on terror is a joke. As if war wasn't terrorizing for people who live in it to begin with.

It's a war that can't be won. Sort of like the War on Drugs. It will last until we realize that we can't win it and stop dumping endless amounts of money into the cause. So...it will end when our country runs out of money.

there are terrorists in every country in the world. any fanatics would probably qualify there too.
if the middle east suddenly decided unilaterally to declare peace, and declare their terrorists as criminals, most of the world could breath easier. oh, and that would dry up a lot of western terrorist funds that come now from middle east oil.
no I don't believe in santa claus or the good fairy. supposition. an almost impossible one, however..... we can always hope
