Yes, it is extremely wrong to have a baby you can't afford to take care of. It is cruel to even think of having a baby unless you are ready to feed, cloth, educate, and provide housing for the baby.
If you have a baby and get government assistance to raise the baby you are stealing from decent tax paying people who choose not to do things that you will have to pay for, and don't try to excuse it by saying rich people should give you money. People like me, who are not rich, are the ones who suffer when you take the money I work for to raise a baby you should not have had.
If you are already pregnant, don't murder the baby by having an abortion. Give him up for adoption so someone else can raise him.
People need to learn that they should not be so careless having sex when they are not in a committed relationship with someone they are ready to have a baby with. Not only do you have to worry about getting pregnant, there is also AIDS to worry about, and God's judgment of your soul after that...

It depends. If you are not pregnant but consciously decide to get pregnant knowing you can't afford it, then you aren't making the wisest decision. But I'm still not saying to not have a baby, lots of babies are born to parents who can't really afford it and grow up just fine. If you are already pregnant, then just get as many things into place as possible, like how you will pay for health care for you and your child, a safe place to live, a financial plan for what money you do have, stuff like that. Taking care of that now is much better than waiting until the baby is born and not knowing what you are going to do. Good Luck.

If every person waited to have a baby when they could "afford" one, we wouldn't have anyone reproducing. You find a way to get the things you need for a baby. Some things don't have to be brand new. There are programs out there, like WIC, that ensures that babies have the formula they need if the parents are low income. Breastfeeding is almost free if you think about it. You would need a nursing pads & maybe a breast pump. But other than that, it's already there and available. Plus, you never know how your situation is going to change. There have been rough times since my kids have been born. I didn't give them up just because money was tight. You learn how to budget and manage. My kids come first and foremost before any "wants" I might have. Things have a way of working out.

I don't think it's wrong to have a baby you can't afford, I think it's being a bit selfish and unsmart though. So if you're thinking of having a baby you can hold off until you are somewhat financially secure. If you're already pregnant there are plently of government and women programs that can help you get through this transaction.
Honestly no one can really afford to have a baby (in general)..it really just depends on what you are willing to do to provide for that child and make sure that you can take of it.

Sweetheart...I don't think anyone has a baby they can truly afford in one way or the other. If you are thinking that you can afford a baby you are pregnant with now...while I am pro-life....you do what is best for you and your life. No need to involve a innocent child in a life that you have no control over now. But learn and don't let it happen again until you are ready.

Hope I've helped.

It depends on what you mean by can't afford. If you will be struggling some I think that is just part of the package when you have a child that you might have some tough times. But if you are going to be on public assistance then no because I can't afford to take care of another persons child.

Not really. Most people can't "afford" a baby. They just become resourceful and find a way to provide for it. It IS wrong, however, to neglect a baby's needs. Especially in favor of the parents wants.

Is it wrong to drive a car without a license in the United States?

To drive, you need the authorization, which requires an exam for which the answers are learned while a student is in high school.

To have a baby, you need to have the resources, which is money, skills, and knowledge. No exam is required nor an education offered.

That's how I see it. How do you feel about adoption?

you can never afford a baby, no matter how prepared you think you are! The more money you have, the more a baby costs.

well if you can't afford to have one then don't try to get pregnant. but if you are already expecting and you know you can't afford it, then you need to pray about it and God will help you. there are also many programs out there that will give you support.
