10 months ago i ran into this guy and we hit it off,i was still bitter about catching my ex of a few years cheating(they r mutual freinds)he listened and understood,he drove me home that night and i invited him to stay,i asked him to sleep in the ned with me,he did,i asked him to put his arm around me.he did till i slept,he was such a gentlman, things were awkward when he left the next morning,a mutual freind told me he liked me but was freaked about my ex(who was trying to get me back)i saw this guy again 2 months later,he came to me and said"your killing me"my ex was also there and upset that we liked eachother.I sent him a text a couple weeks later and he never replied.I saw him at a party 6 months later,he walked in with another girl(although they were not'together')he saw me and looked away quick.

Your single so your not wrong for doing what you did but if you are trying to get with someone then maybe you are. If you are still friends with you ex ok what ever but this other guy likes you and right now he doesn't know what to do tell him how it is and if he still looks away quickly then move on no need to waste your time on someone who cant tell you what he wants

Sounds to me like you are not ready yet for a serious dating relationship with this new guy and you need to tell him that you like him and that you are no longer interested in your ex but that you don't want him to be a rebound guy. Talk it out or move on. Communication is the key to a successful relationship.

There's really no right or no wrong in this situation.
If you really still like him and want to have a relationship with him. Ask him to lunch and tell him how you feel. Make sure it's really over with you ex though first. If it is let him know as well.

I think he was hoping he could hook up with you but you never made the move and told him how you felt and when you ran into him at the party he felt dumb.

Well you brought that one on yourself. Somtimes we put ourselves in situations that we can't explain but whatever his reaction was you were in the lead that time.Don't be upset because you could have told him what was up...
