Its starting to feel tight in my chest area. Everytime I cough, it hurts bad.

Sounds like the respiratory flu...go to the Dr., sometimes you do need antibiotics especially if it's getting worse and not better. Sometimes you start out with the simple cold which turns into the flu which turns into an upper respiratory infection...trust me this happens to me just about every year. Just go the Dr and get it taken care of...you don't want it turning into pneumonia like mine did!

Sounds like it started out as a cold & has turned into Bronchitis or an URI(Upper Resp Infection. You need to see your family physician

it could be cold or flu or sinus infection which can drain into your lungs and cause a build up of mucus in the lungs and cause you to cough too. go to the doctor

i went to dr with same symptoms,my chest on left side was hurting from coughing to much, every one was in office with same symptoms.no clue.they gave antibiotic,avveloxx. a cough suppressent in pill form and an inhaller.upper resp.infection.feel better
