Well, to answer this question you must come at it from the perspective that God created the Earth and everything in it about 6000-10000 years ago and in the Beginning, before Genesis 6, the world looked much different. There were no gigantic oceans, that's where all of the water went after the floodwaters receded a bit. Hence there was no South America or Middle East as we know them today. The entire climate of the world was different with no polar ice caps or anything so the sloth most likely did not live all that far away from Noah and his ark.
Another thing you must consider is that Noah took "two of every sort" of animal (Genesis 6:19, KJV); this does not mean two of every species, hence there may not have been a three-toed sloth as we know it today, but a sloth-like creature that has, in the 4000-6000 years since the flood, diverged into all of the species of sloth we see today. Once you consider all of that, the question sort of goes away!

Ark the secure practices place of Gods chosen. as quickly as a boat. as quickly as A Temple the Ark of the Covenant. Now we are the Temple , and the Holy Spirit is the Ark. we are able to take a seat down back interior the Lord daily. Its so uncomplicated some could desire to make it perplexing to understand. The sloth could or will possibly no longer have been on the Boat with Noah. If God wanted to he could have revived any of those creatures after the Flood.

Some of the Hebrew words have multiple meanings. I believe that the flood of Noah was universal but not necessarily global. Universal in that it wiped out all of the humans on earth except for Noah and his family, but not global. I believe that the flood of Noah happened about 20,000 years ago, and all the humans were in the same general region, the Mesopotamian region, and at that time there were a lot fewer people on earth and all in the same region. The mesopotamian region is called the cradle of civilization. Only the animals from that region needed to go into the ark. God brought them to Noah. There are a couple of articles about the flood of Noah at www.reasons.org

We are all aware of Santa's ability to cover huge areas of the earth in just a few hours. I assume Noah recruited Santa to pick up all the animals before the flood and return them all afterward.

I can't answer your question. But there is nothing ever that will make me believe it isn't all true. I believe every word of the Bible. I have no doubts whatsoever. I believe in God with all my heart, soul, mind, and body. Why? Because I have asked Jesus Christ to come into my heart, and be my Lord and Savior. Because He has opened my eyes to see the truth.
Jesus Christ said this in the book of Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me".

Well, we don't know that Noah didn't put every species he picked up back where he found it. Perhaps we were meant to have polar bears in Libya and hummingirds in Wales. And whales in Hungary. He could have left the place in one hell of a mess, when you think about it.
