Pick up the book, G.R.I.T.S, guide to life. (Girls Raised In The South), I am southern and I am planning my wedding in the wild west. Its your wedding and you can do whatever you want. But bring some to the table. Like, its traditional to have it in the church you grew up in. But Im not. Something old, something new and something borrowed. Your mothers pearls on your wedding day. There is tons!! Just get the book and it will explain southern tradtions to life and anything that comes along. Good Luck!!

It's surprising what is "traditonal". What you may do in Texas is nothing like what might be "traditional" here in Ohio or further east like Vermont.

Might want to look up on the Net 'southen wedding traditions'. If you need any help, contact Weddings for All in Corpus Christi. Pam is a wonderful officiant. She also used to be a wedding planner.
