Yes, why do you ask?
I do not believe that responsible breeders like myself and others should quit breeding so all the irresponsible pet owners should allow their intact dogs roam the streets to breed at random.

Yes ...I have two dogs right now and both of them were abandoned and left homeless. They are the best dogs. I have had registered pure bred dogs and muts. It makes you feel good to take in a homeless animal.

Yes. I volunteer at a shelter and work with Pitbulls. It's very rewarding, and sometimes heartbreaking.
People always say to me - "I could never do that. I'd want to take them all home." That is the most LAME excuse I've ever heard. People who care about homeless animals are the ones we need volunteering.

of course.. but I dont believe in just taking a dog home that you find on the street. Ive heard of people doing that.. and I think thats irresponcible because it could be someones lost pet.. and now, with microchips, they can check pretty easily if the animal has one or not. My neighbors dog got out of her yard and she looked for him for three months... finally, when she had given up and assumed he was gone for good she took her kids to go adopt a new pet, because they were so sad about the old one being gone. she saw him the next day at the dog park. the lady who had him said she picked him up off the side of the street and because the collar had no tags on it, she assumed he was a stray. She never checked for a microchip.. they had to take him to the pound and prove he was their dog before the lady would give him up.
I absolutely think its the right thing to do to help a dog by taking to to a no-kill shelter.. but I dont think its right when people just take in a dog that they find on the street.

I believe in it and I have been doing it for over ten years now. That is the one thing I know I have done a good job with. Right now I have two dogs and three cats.

Yes.. but only to an extent.. I have fed strays and called the shelter to get them off the street. But you shouldn't attempt to handle homeless pets without care. Especially if you have other pets.... by touching one then touching the other you may be contaminating them to something. so help out.. but do it smart and carefully. and help homeless kitties too by getting them to a vet (if they let you) to get them rabies shots and fixed!!!

I've taken in homeless animals since I could walk (well, almost ... lol) I've taken in birds with broken wings (sea gulls, magpies, ravens and owls), baby mice, wild mink, a baby black bear, dogs, cats, and the list goes on ....
We rescued our Manx, who was 6 weeks old ... and living under a trailer. He's three y/o now, and spoiled absolutely rotten! Our Pit Bull, we rescued from an abusive owner. He was skin and bone ... when you spoke to him, he cowered. You wouldn't even recognize him now ... he's very healthy and VERY happy. We love them both soooo much. :)
If I could take in more, and love them ... like they deserve to be loved, I would.
