I just had the gas tank dropped to remove a candy bar a couple of weeks ago and now the car is starting to hit and miss could they have screwed up the O2 sensor by the gas tank or is there another underlying issue thanks

fuel filter was changed its brand new and the car was vandalized with the candy bar shoved in the gas tank

Now how did a candy bar get into your gas tank?? LOL!!!! I would say the candy bar incident isnt related to your miss...... try a tuneup.... check your wires, one might be loose or burnt. Change the spark plugs.

1st go and buy a lock-gas -cap and next go back to the tank drop dudes and tell them what the car id doing NOW and act like you just ((in a nice manner )) expect them to finish the job that you requested in the beginning of the c-bar prob....if they do not want to fininsh the corrections ...you need to get in the car and go to someone that is a better mechanic------ the o2 sensor is not repated to the gas tank,,,,it is in the exhaust system....you probably need to have the fuel injectors cleaned or replaced____it all bears a discussion with a trained and reliable mechanic...and be sure to talk about the estimated repair bill before you allow the to work on the car ...the F-inj> can get pricey in a hurry.........

No it didn't bother the 02 sensor,try changing your fuel filter.

I agree with the fuel filter suggestion, they are cheap and it should be replaced anyways
