honestly, dom perrion is sweet, tasty, and not that expensive. if you go to your local liquor store and ask the clerk, they can tell you what's good and what isn't. let them know your budget and they will lead you to the right place.

if you want another option that is "bubbly" like champange, you can drink 1 shot vodka, lime, and top it off with sprite. it's still fizzy and is tasty.

happy new year!

Any Asti Spumante or Ballatore are wonderful champagne that is sweet. I think they are are really sparkling wine, but thought of as champagne. I guarantee you can't go wrong with these.

I like dry champagne, Korbel and Tott's extra dry are good for these.

Happy New Year.

Here are the Champagnes & sparkling wines I offer my clients who rarely drink Champagnes. The reason I suggest these is that they either have a softness, sweetness or fruitiness:

Moet & Chandon White Star or Nectar Imperial

Veuve Clicquot Demi-sec

Chandon (sparkling wine) Riche

Piper Hiedsick Doux

Moscato d'Asti (Italian sparkling) peachy in flavor. This is not a full sparkling wine it is known as frizzante (fizzy) but it does have festive bubbles and everyone loves it.

Martini & Rossi Asti Spumante (under $20) or Crystal (around $150 a bottle).

If you like sweet you might try Moet's Nectar Imperial as it has an extra dosage of sugar added during the riddling process and it is rather tasty and less dry than a Brut.

For sweeter champagne/sparkling wine, look on the label for "demi-sec" or "cremant". Schramsberg and Mumms both make excellent sweeter bubblies.

Try Ballatore Gran Spumante or anything that says "Prosecco" or "Asti Spumante" because those will be a bit sweeter.
