I beleive in it but also realize that for decades believers feel it will happen in their lifetime. I am realistic and not fanatical - It would never affect my life as in my career, mortgage, etc.....God wants us to be productive.

first we dont know when it will happen. so i live my life daily serving God. if he comes for us soon then cool i am ready. if not hey i am still ready. and i am ready rather we will go thru the tribulation or half way or what. there are many things starting to come true though like implants in the hand or forehead. a guy right now that the UN is trying to get to work with them. who claims to be a reincarnation of Jesus and budda and mahommed. i only can spell Jesus out lol. but he is doing miracles but not in Jesus name. also the Bible says there will be an outpour of the Holy Ghost and many who once believed leaving the church. and many who will get the Holy Ghost. all over the world thousands are getting filled with the Holy Ghost. floriday has a boot camp each year and 1000 and plus get filled and cal. the same thing. and the Bible says that we will see many gifts get used. ie gift of tongues, healing those gifts that are mentioned in the Bible. and look up aids being healed. aids, cancer and many more are being healed in Jesus name. doctors dont know how but christians do. as well as people who only had a limb or no leg or arm at all are getting there arm fully restored in Jesus name. miracles are happening more then ever. but rather we choose to say it is luck or some other excuse or know the truth is up to us. i personally am glad that God has shown me the light and that i know the truth.
i live everyday for the Lord but i still support my family as long as i can. being there will be a time when we choose to accept the mark and have it put on our right hand or forehead or not. if in my time i hope that i will get raptured before that but if not then i am ready.

I live a simple modest life style. I am single, live a chaste life. I own no real estate, have no debts. I am currently laid off from work but when working was earning under 40K per year, and giving at least 30% of my net income to promote the Gospel and help those in need. I hate no man, although I surely hate the things they do. Nothing is so delightful to me as to experience the intimate presence of God in an atmosphere of worship with the saints of God. I have no significant savings - God provides for me. If you knew and understood one tenth of what God has shown me, you would be convinced that not only the rapture, but more significant than this, the return of Jesus Christ to the earth to judge the world and destroy the enemies of God is very likely to occur in my lifetime. I have lived this way well over twenty years. This is a brief synopsis. I advise you to consider Jesus' words: "Take heed...(lest) that day come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth" (Luke 21:34)

I believe that there will be a Second Coming and a general resurrection of all humans who have ever lived, and then the final judgement. I don't agree with Tim LaHaye, I agree with Hank Hannegraaff. Jesus said that no one knows the day or the hour, only the Father. I think that the Greek word for "soon" can also be translated "iminent" meaning it could happen at anytime, but not necessarily soon. I think that certain signs let us know that the end-times are getting closer because Israel became a nation again after 1900 years, and immorality and apostasy are increasing. www.equip.org

I do believe we are living in the end times and I do believe I am of the generation that will be raptured. Could I be wrong? Yes. Does this change the way I approach life? No. I don't worry about tomorrow, and I'm anxious for nothing, not because of the coming rapture, but because Jesus instructed me not to be.

I have to live, so paying the mortgage is something I have to do in order to not have my children covered in trash bags on a bench somewhere. My career? Well that has always been advanced with the help of God b/c he provides all my needs and financially moving in my career helps provide for my needs.
We are talking about two different things. I am one who believes Jesus is coming back "soon". Do I think in my lifetime? I think to speculate takes my eyes off the prize.
My approach is different in a way b/c I see people differently. But I say that is a good thing. I have found more love and peace knowing God is about to fix all we have destroyed.
You say you don't believe but why are you curious? Curiosity killed the cat. You could continue your curiosity and when it happens it will be too late for you.
God Bless

My life changed when I started living for the Lord. Yes my children still go to school. I wish that I could homeschool them though, but back to your question. I believe the rapture will happen soon , how soon I dont know. We still have to survive to be able to spread God's word so yes my husband works.

I believe in the slow degradation of humans thanks to several factors at play.
Corporate abuse/downsizing and it's affects on the entire planet.
Over population problems in several areas of the world.
Unstable governments and conflicts that don't seem to want to go away.
Those who believe, think we are approaching the end times, while I think humans just keep sinking, and they can sink further, little by little.
Earth itself is showing signs of wearing out, giving us strange weather patterns.
Capitalism keeps flourishing, trying to address the environmental problems.
Remains to be seen whether capitalism can save earth.
I feel it's too late.
People with strong religious beliefs tend to see an end coming soon.
I see a slow deterioration that could last a very long time.
Remains to be seen who will be right.

We are pilgrims and sojourners on the earth. In other words we are just passing through. I am enjoying my journey home to Heaven but I will sure be glad when it's over.
To directly answer your question. If you know you are going to die then why do you do anything? The rapture can be right now or a thousand years from now we don't know. The apostles also thought it was near 2000 years ago. We simply watch and pray.

Fascinating, isnt' it?
My father told me a story of when he was young and a boy scout. The troop was going out to re-plant a woodland area that had been cut for some reason or another. His father wouldn't allow him to go. His reason- the second coming was nigh and there was no sense in planting a tree. This was 1955.
My father and grandfather are both still alive. Grandpa just turned 100. They are both still Christians. They both, oddly, still believe that the end is nigh. I prefer planting trees.

yes i do believe in the Rapture, and yes I am still doing all those things that you mentioned. The reason is because we do not know the day or the hour in which the Rapture will take place. we also do not know the day or hour in which our life will come to an end. so we must always be ready.
