There are 2 types of flat screen TV's. Plasma, and LCD. Both are only about 4" wide, so they don't take up much room and can hang on a wall

Plasma can bring you a very sharp picture, but if you have an image up too long on the screen, it "burns" the plasma inside and creates a permanant image. For example, if you watch Fox and there's a white Fox logo in the corner...it may be there permanently.

LCD uses liquid crystals, which are brighter, sharper, and don't burn. So far LCD tv's are hard to find in really large sizes (or are much more expensive in large sizes), but that's changing rapidly.

It is a flat panel technology with liquid crystal display (LCD) and it allows larger screens than a standard CRT TV, and has other advantages.
