You stated that your pup had a clean bill of health when coming from the breeder. This puts the responsibility of the pup's health squarely on your shoulders. Treat this pup just as you would if you'd had it for the last ten years. A yeast infection is treatable, and almost always preventable. Your vet will give the information you need.

I adopted a puppy from a shelter and 2 months later I took her to the vet and they stated that she had a yeast infection and that she most likely had allergies.
I first would like to heal her yeast infection (in her ear) and treat her, then I plan on getting her allergy tested to find what she might have allergy towards, and moving from there. Dogs can have infections, allergies, etc. You just have to be able to provide the necessary care for the pet. I made a vow when I signed the paperwork and adopted her that I will be able to pay for her livelyhood and I plan on too no matter what conditions pop up. Good Luck though.

well I bought my puppy for $400 and the next day he had a yeast infection in his ears he still has it now. If I were you I would take him to the vet don't demand a refund. Fixing yeast infections don't cost very much at all only the medicine is like $25 so just take him to the vet he should be fine.

i does not purchase a cocker spaniel from this woman . And to boot how will she know if the doggies are due or no longer its way too off to correctly known .i might recommend finding at a rescue team or a registered breeder . She's making you pay extra earnings strengthen which isnt a competent thought . What good will champion bloodlines do if the canines might desire to be in undesirable medical situations . are you able to fulfill the ladies folk in guy or woman ?? What are the tempermants of the domestic canines and oldsters ??? Is she available to respond to all your questions and concerns with out any subject concerns or issues ??? What funds does she settle for ??? discover somebody else who certainly has them registered or detect a rescue or an animal look after .

Was the yeast infection in his ears? It is very common for cockers to have ear problems. You just need to be cleaning them every few days. Also, I would just keep some of the ear medication on had in the future, so when you see the ears starting to bother him you can go ahead and start the medication.
Also, most breeders do not guarantee anything that is not detrimental to the dog, especially something that the breed is prone to.

Well for 1, yeast infections aren't serious and they are curable with medicine. 2, call your breeder. Our dog came with a clean bill of health too and they said that they would cover the costs of things for so many months.

Take it to the vet again and have them treat the pup.. you bought it, sorry to say but its now your resposibility.. if 5 yrs from now the pup gets sick you gonna still be blaming the breeder? Maybe something you fed it made it sick? If your not ready for the resposibility then give the dog back to the breeder and let them find someone who is.

I would take her/him to the vet to get it treated. If he/she left the breeder with a clean bill of health then it is not the breeders fault. She/he probely developed the infection while with you so there is nothing that you can do besides get her to the vet and get her treated.

Oh well if you love the dog take care of it. It's not a matter of life and death is it? Like human babies that are born, they are all not100% healthy and if they were at birth, they usually come down sick sooner or later.
