Just recently, they started putting vehicle insurance info on there too. Thats what comes back if you're tag is ran in KY. It will vary from state to state.

The registered owner of the vehicle. The year, make, model and color of the vehicle. The insurance information on the vehicle. The address of the registered owner. The registered owners date of birth [we use the name and date of birth to run the license of the registered owner after we get the plate information back]. The lien holder information. And finally whether there are any wants on the car or place and whether the registration is current and valid.

In Ontario,
name, address, date of birth of registered owner
Vehicle year, make, model, VIN
Validation sticker expiry
Whether or not vehicle/plate is stolen

You can also ask for the associated driving record of the registered owner and a listing of all vehicles and plates she/he has owned or does own.

You can also run the registered owner at the same time for criminal records and current warrants/probations/bail orders.

Officer: "305 to city(county) "
Dispatcher: " 305"
Officer: "28, 29 GWB 911"
Dispatcher: "GWB 911 returns to a 1990 Porsche 911 registered to George Williams,Jr, 1234 Anystreet, Anytown OK. 29 is clear."
That means that George Williams, Jr. is the owner (not necessarily the driver), and the car is not stolen.
Other info may be requested by the officer.
