The Watchtower Society, prior to 1935, understood this great crowd to be in heaven, so obviously there is no clear-cut explanation Otherwise, it would have been clear in the first place and no need to change it.
Probably even a twelve year-old, without preconceived ideas, would read these verses and conclude that the great crowd is in heaven. Why? Because they stand before a heavenly throne, surrounded by heavenly creatures, one of whom inquires as to where this great crowd came FROM. If this great crowd were still on earth, why would the angel ask such a question?
In addition, this great crowd is serving in the temple, which is also in heaven. Not only that, but the word translated 'temple' is the Greek word naos which is often associated with the sanctuary, or Most Holy compartment of the temple. And any Witness can tell you that the Most Holy corresponds to heaven itself.
As is often the case, the belief that the great crowd is not heavenly, but earthly, is traced to Judge Joseph Rutherford, 2nd president of the WT. One of Judge Rutherford's other teachings was that Abraham would rise from the dead in 1925. He also denied that the higher powers of Romans chap 13 applied to secular governments, but to Jehovah and Jesus alone. And in 1930 (Light, Book II) , he had a few things to say concerning the great crowd or 'great multitude' of Revelation, including:
1.) They don't keep God's commands (page 160) and (2) They aren't willing to be volunteers and witness for God. (page 124). Nevertheless, they are eventually saved.
Jesus said that when a blind man leads a blind man, they will both fall into a pit.

diverse Bibles go-reference this scripture to the e book of Daniel, which notes that angels additionally make up an surprising crowd. the super crowd referenced there refers to all the angels at the same time, which the context in simple terms as effortlessly shows. i might element out to you Matthew 5:5, wherein Jesus says the "meek shall inherit the earth." You your self observe that the one hundred forty four,000 visit heaven, and that i do no longer think of every physique believes Jesus grow to be concerning the depraved while he stated that the "meek" shall inherit the earth. So no be counted if it truly is not the one hundred forty four,000 and it truly is not the depraved, what group is left to inherit the earth save the super crowd of righteous human beings that are actually not of the one hundred forty four,000?

read psalms 11:4 for a comparison Jehovah throne has always been in heaven and he has always judged men from there in the past.
the 144000 are on mount Zion or with Jehovah and Jesus whereas the great crowd are before them or in front of them.not with them.
the palm branches also is proof of earthly life not heavenly
also the fact that no man was able to number indicates earthly.
certainly Jehovah or Jesus could number them but not men could.
later in Revelation it says the tent of god is with mankind
rev 19:1 is all the angels in heaven there are myriads of them all praising him compare daniel 7:10 for this also many times in rev it talks of angels with a loud voice praising jehovah.

Is the number 144,000 merely symbolic?
The answer is indicated by the fact that, after mention of the definite number 144,000, Revelation 7:9 refers to “a great crowd, which no man was able to number.” If the number 144,000 were not literal it would lack meaning as a contrast to the “great crowd.” Viewing the number as literal agrees with Jesus’ statement at Matthew 22:14 regarding the Kingdom of the heavens: “There are many invited, but few chosen.”
What will those who go to heaven do there?
Rev. 20:6: “They will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years.” (Also Daniel 7:27)
144,000 will rule as "kings & priests" with Jesus, if you rule, there must be subjects in order for one to be a ruler. Billions of people will be resurrected to live on the Earth, they will be the people under this rulership.
This was King David's hope: "Psalms 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever." From the Lord's or Father's Prayer:Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
WHEN untold millions are raised in the ‘resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous,’ they will not be brought back to life on an empty earth. (Acts 24:15) They will awaken in beautifully improved surroundings and find that living quarters, clothing, and an abundance of food have been prepared for them. Who will make all these preparations? Clearly, there will be people living in the new world before the earthly resurrection begins. Who? The Bible indicates that they will be survivors of the coming great tribulation. Of all Bible teachings, undoubtedly this is one of the most intriguing, that some faithful ones will be saved alive through the great tribulation and will never have to die. This hope is well attested to in the Holy Scriptures.
At Matthew 24:37-39, Jesus Christ made a comparison between the days of Noah and the last days, where we now find ourselves. He said: “Just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be.”
The global Flood swept away all who paid no attention to God’s warning message. It did not, though, sweep away Noah and his family. They “entered into the ark,” as Jesus said. Because of their godly devotion, Jehovah provided them with a way of escape.
These are they who have come out of the great tribulation.’” (To “come out” of something a person must go into it or be in it. So this great multitude must be persons who actually experience the great tribulation and come out of it as survivors.)
All Scriptures are King James Bible. Will all true Christians perhaps be taken to heaven after the great tribulation?Psalms 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.Psalms 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.Psalms 37:22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.Psalms 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
From the Lord's or Father's Prayer:Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
NO, we do not believe everyone approved by God goes to Heaven, if the good go to Heaven & the bad go to Hellfire that most religions teach, then there is noone left on the Earth, and King David & Jesus have lied to us.

All of these so-called explanations from obvious JW's are not answering your question.(which isn't surprising) The answer to your question is it cannot be explained. The Bible is clear, not the Watchtower Society. Another thing, if I see one more "Witness" quote from their "Reasoning book" instead of their own brain I am going to puke.
