you have been on a couple of dates,,is it possible you and her have run out of neutral things to talk about? has either of you actually said something relevant to the continuing relationship? it happens. ask her out again and see if the conversation is straight back to where you have already been,,move it up a notch,,talk about something more,,you and her,,another compliment wont hurt but something different,,not the usual,,"you are so easy to talk to " rubbish. if she accepts the date and seems happy she likes you and you need to move on with it,,if she makes her excuses just tell her to give you a call when she is free and you wont have to feel bad,,,,,1 tip,,,,smile while you are happy on the phone,,we can hear a smile.

don't worry about it. find someone around 30 or early 30s if you still want younger. you will probably find a more mature person but still youthful fun and your conversations and interests will be more in sync. besides it will piss off the 23 year old that she got dumped for an older woman and she'll want you more. happens all the time! good luck

She's probably uncomfortable with the age gap and she probably solves situations the same way I do...Blowing them off. It's not right but some of us girls in our 20s are confused. When I was 20 I dated a guy that was 32 and it went great until i went home and started thinking about it too much, so i just ignored him.

She's young, perhaps she's not ready to see someone steadily...perhaps she's found y'all dont have much in common after all...talk to her about it and get it out in the open OR give it time and see what happens...if she turns down dates or doesn't return calls, you have your answer...
At her age, I wouldn't have dated someone your age...anyone over 30 would've felt too old for me...you're technically old enough to be her father...

You just need to talk to her. See if she is not really interested anymore, or scared, or embarrassed people think you her uncle or dad. You are both over age so it all depends on what you two think and not anyone else. But the key is communication.

you have to consider her maturity level. just because she is 23 that does not mean that she thinks like an adult as far as relationships go. don't push the issue but you need to ask her what is going on and go from there.

if you want sincere advice, I would recommend being with a woman your age. 5 years from now, 10 years from now, you'll regret going after younger girls.
