I'm not young enough to know everything, but there are some things that I can learn from younger people---like optimism and a fresh view point. If nothing else, sometimes they remind me of when I was that age.......

Alright so age is not a guarantee of wisdom, but if you are going to get any it generally happens as you get older .Why? Experience .Yep to have real wisdom you need it .Can younger people say stuff that is smart? Of course they can! I did and I know others do too.But if you are smart at a young age once you actually know more about life don't you think that you would become wiser as time goes on?There is a reason why they don't let anyone become prime minister before the age of forty !>>>> The 12 year old who gave me a thumbs down just proved my point.Aww, did I make you mad?

Age is just a number.

Though I am not one of the ones you speak of, I have also found youth sometimes can open eyes.

Just a thought . . . . the stop smoking campaigns and the rock the vote . . . .

As a Christian I really feel we need to speak another language, what we are doing with the going to hell bashing isn't working apparently. Speak the truth but maybe try it a different way.

Its broken so lets fix it . . . if that means with youth, I am for it.

BTW I am using the example of Christianity as the topic of this forum is Religion and Spirituality.

Not all children under the age of 25 are immature. Remember Jesus was 12 when he taught the elders in the temple.

You are very correct. Are their lives they feel ignorant and they find some perls of wisdom and really think they really have it all figured out.
Many really just want to give their opinion no matter how ignorant and far fetched it is.
We all want to be seen as wise or intelligent. It's our natural need to be validated, meaning that there is a reason why we are here, and their is some use for them.
And everyone has an opinion. (no matter how worthless it may be)

Because age is just a number; it's no measure of wisdom or knowledge. I personally am only 12. You may not believe me, but it's true.

Many philiosophers did their best work young. I doubt very much that whatever you or I have to say can match David Hume's first work completed at the age of 25.

a person gains knowledge by asking questions and reading some of the answers could be an asset as well who knows what they have to offer,it may possibly be something we older ones might not have thought of,because they are younger doesnt always mean they are dumber

Because I know that I'm better at it than most people.

However my need to antagonize other people does exist as well, so some of the meaning is lost on the Sheep that hang out here.
