we connect so well, we talk for hours then sleep together fully clothed. We feel very comfortable with one another but both of us realise that getting involved would ruin this relationship - we want different things. Is it time to direct him to the sofa bed?

JACKLOVE That's the problem. It feels great to fall asleep wrapped in each others arms. The physical attraction is intensifying.

I think you should if you don't want to have a full on relationship whit this person, you should set the ground work now on a friendship with rules and guidelines depending on what you mean by we want diffrent things if he wants a relationship and you don't....put him on the sofa lounge geez stop teasing!

It is fantastic that you two talk so well and get along so well mayby you have found your Best Friend in life. Go with the flow if you have no intentions of a relationship set ground rules.

good luck

You want different things ? The things one wants in life have a tendency to shift, as time goes on and other options become visible. Are you absolutely certain that what each of you wants is incompatible with the other ? And isn't Love one of the things you both want ? If you don't make love and stay friends, the issue will not go away, you know.

Friends do make the basis for a good relationship but also I've seen sex ruin a friendship. Think about what you want and any possible consequences.
