Ok, please reconsider! If you notice - people with bulimia are usually not "skinny", they are of moderate weight. I believe this is because it is actually pretty hard to get ALL of the food out after a binge. Also, people with bulimia can have heart attacks due to the imbalance of electrolytes (they help regulate your heartbeat) that is caused by fluid loss in purging. Also - think "puffy, swollen face", a common side effect of purging! I had bulimia for more than 20 years! I finally stopped after having two kids. It was hell. And I noticed that once I stopped I was actually able to regulate my weight better than when i was purging. I also always had headaches, felt nauseated, and retained water like crazy after throwing up. It is not a fun lifestyle, and definitely does not compare to the healthy feeling of losing weight the natural way! It is not worth the danger and anti social behavior that is inherent with the disease. Believe me when I tell you that losing weight this way is an uphill battle because not only do you stretch out your stomach, but you get "used" to eating many times more than is natural. Please, if you are desperate to lose weight, do it with exercise and healthy eating, in the end, it is the only way that is permanent.

Bulimia is a disease. You don't just do it for fun. Sufferers of bulimia and other eating disorders have serious problems. If you want to lose weight, do it the right way, which is not by throwing up. I've struggled with eating disorders since I was 10, and trust me.. just cuz those girls are skinny, does not mean they are happy. Even at my lowest weight, I still saw myself as the same fat person. It's a vicious cycle and nobody in their right mind would want to have such an illness.

If you have thrown up today on purpose, you need to seek help. If you live with your parents, talk to them. If you don't, go to a doctor- they can probably reccommend psychologists you can go to. Bulimia is a disorder. It can kill you. If it gets worse, you can throw up after every meal without even trying to. It can also affect your body in bad ways. Your throat and teeth get worn down, you become malnourished. Malnourishment can effect you ability to have children. So go to a psychologist soon. Don't wait and don't keep doing this. There are ways to lose weight safely but it takes perserverance and time. So go to a doctor. Good luck.

Please do not go down that road. I have battled Anorexia and with that Bulimia. It is deadly and the damage you can cause in a short amount of time is devastating. My one friend died within 5 months from a ruptured esophagus. And that is not the only thing that bulimia does, it will rot your teeth, esophagus, and stomach walls from all the acid. It damages your heart as well. It is not the weigh to lose weight it is the way to kill yourself.

DO NOT!!! If you're really concerned, see a doctor. Consider your BMI, I think that you're healthy. Consider also your body image (the opinion that you have of yourself).

Again, if you're truly worried, see a doctor.

Bulimia is not a good choice because you deprive your body of nutrients, and mess up your digestive tract. You could hurt your esophagus with the constant exposure to stomach acid, so don't even go there, alright?

Instead of your weight, focus on who you are, and what you can do. Improve your self esteem.

PLEASE....don't throw up!!!! It is sooo bad for you. The only reason bulimic people get skinny is that their muscles are melting away. Don't do it!! Just work out and eat healthy. Look at the nutrition labels on foods. Stuff like that.

Not a good idea. I have known some fat bulimic people. Too many negative side effects on your appearance, bad teeth, bad smell, waste of time, money and energy.

well they don't just trow up they don't eat for some days and then they go crazy on food and after they feel guilty so they throw up. They don't eat that's why they get skinny. And when they eat they throw up.

k... see here's the thing. i'm bulimic. not proud of it but i am. i have been for over a year. i know your prolly getting sick of hearing lectures so i'm going to give you one fact. bulimia takes over your life. and eventually it takes over the lives of those around you. see i was selfish and wanted to be skinny so i could be the best ballerina in my company. but the thing i never knew what it would do to my dad. every day that i have to see his face kills me. because the think is... is that he isn't mad or "disappointed" he's scared for me. That kills me to know that i'm the one causing him all of that stress and that I make him worry everyday. so anyway... it's too late for me to take that back but please don't make the same mistake it did. PLEASE.
