My 2 year old was born with a mark on his chest that looks like a scar. Today I asked him "what's that?" just to see what he'd say. He went on to tell me that is was where the bad guy got him. In detail without coaxing from me he told me about a bad guy that came to fix something for us. He wasn't supposed to come in the house but his brother let him in. He "hurt Mommy" so I shot him but he got me first. I was speachless. My older son used to talk of being a girl and helping me on the farm. Anyone else have kids say things like this?

As a Wiccan and a beleiver in reincarnation, I think it very possible that he may have past life momeries. Sad thing is most children reach a certain age and they forget about their past life.

You might remember a well documented case where a child knew about being killed in WW2 due to his plane being shot down by a Japenese plane. He remembered his name, his crew members and too many things for it to have been just a child's imagination. The parents even looked up some of his buddies that were still alive to see if the things the boys said was true. Primetime or 20/20 or another show documented this very well. the sad thing is the boy began to forget all his past life momeries after reaching a certain age.

If you feel this is past life momeries then document everything you can and save for future refrence, because he may foget them later.

I've read about a young boy who began drawing WWII fighter aircraft as an infant and as he grew older began having nightmares about getting shot down. He described the aircraft, location of the battle, even knew the pilots name, James. He started calling himself James 3 (the pilot, it turned out, was a James junior). I actually emailed the boys Dad and he had taken the young man to a reunion of the survivors of the WWII aircraft carrier CVE-62, USS Natoma Bay. What's even weirder is the boy knew the names of the other pilots at the reunion and called them by name when he was introduced to them.
His memories of the dogfight and the location of the battle were exact. He even drew a map of the island the fight took place over and the bay his plane crashed into. He remembered being trapped and flames burning him. The other pilots who had witnessed the fight said his FM-2 had been hit in the engine and cockpit area, the engine had caught fire and the canopy had apparently jammed preventing the pilot from bailing out. The plane crashed into the water in flames.

The way I heard about this is that I am a member of an online flight sim squadron named VC-81 and our ship happens to be the USS Natoma Bay. The squad was formed by our virtual CO who's father served aboard the ship during the war. We do virtual reenactments with other squads and generally waste time online. We fly SBD's, F4F-4s, Corsair's, and of course, FM-2's. Our CO met the boy at one of the reunions and he said it was an uncanny and remarkable experience.
I'm still not sure how I feel about all this. I do not subscribe to the reincarnation theory. But this is really pretty amazing.
The boy's nightmares have lessened over the last couple of years and he seems to be outgrowing his obsession with the USS Natoma Bay and his FM-2.

It says in scripture that God will "call the past into account". God can deal with the past. Yet, there are issues which follow us. Healing can be a process. But, the more we hang on to truth, and let go of the lies, healing goes another step forward. Picture two ropes - both look sturdy, with good handles. One is secure at the top and the other goes a long way, but is not secure. Be wise, and examine - take hold of that which is secure - truth. I have been saved for over 30 years. Every once in a while, God will allow something from my past to surface, so that the issue might be cleared up. But, I choose whether to let the truth the Lord gives me to clear it up, or waller in the old mess, or just give up with, "That's just how I am." I prefer the truth. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight (Prov. 3:5-6)." There are things you will not understand, so don't 'lean' on what you think you understand. Trust the Lord - He will see you through. Counsel may help. That is, if you find a mature woman who understands the hurts of the past and has experienced healing and victory. But, if you know scripture, write down the truths you find - post them on your fridge. Encourage yourself as David did - remember how much God loves you, how precious you are in His sight. Embrace that which is new in your life, which the Lord has given you. Realize the difference between the old past and what is new. One thing about scars - the don't heal, even if the wound did. I have scars - but I have no more wounds. Scars can be there to remind us of what the Lord healed us of. Also, scars and mended bone are stronger than the 'normal' skin or bone. I believe that scars are better than open wounds. If you have open wounds, there are reasons for that. One, is that it has not been attended to, either because you have not dealt with it or that the Lord has not gotten to that one, yet. Another reason is that you won't allow God to attend to it - maybe it has become part of your identity and you are afraid you would be incomplete without it, or you fear what God would do to mend it. The third reason is you just sort of hoped it would get better on it's own - the idea of ignoring it and it will go away. The fourth reason is that just as it was healing, you picked at it, re-opened it, etc. Finally, someone else (not likely deliberately) could have opened it - although, often the Lord allows this for further "surgery" and healing. I am not accusing you of any of these - without me and my wife sitting and talking with you, I can't zero in on the core issues. But, I present these for you to pray about and ask the Lord what He sees as the issue. Then, as He reveals these things to you, ask and accept His plan for the healing process. He may say, "Forgive." He may direct you to someone who has had similar circumstances, but with victory. Whatever it is, trust Him.

Wow, I don't know why everyone is so down on the possiblity of past lives, but it sure sounds like it is something from a past life. Especially since a two year old would not have any experiences like that to mimic (hopefully anyways). Kids pretend about things they have experienced. My nephews don't talk about past life stuff, but before the older constantly talked about his great grandparents and how much fun they were to play with and talk to even though they have been gone for years and he never knew them. I also had a roommate once who couldn't stand things touching her neck and she was obsessed with the Salem Witch trials. She did a project on one of the accused witches in college and visited Salem, when she got there she found the cemetary and without a map walked straight to that person's headstone which was not in an easy to find location. It was very freaky....I guess none of us will know until our own time comes, but that also means we don't know it's not possible either.

It's a delayed PTSD from neonatal trauma.
Find out what the names of the people around him were and what they said when it happened and you'll have a clue. Infant brains store trauma memory to protect them in future similar events.

I think things like this are certainly possible, but they're too difficult for us to interpret in our present life.

Maybe when your children are adults, let them know what they used to say, but I'd probably not encourage their imaginations along these lines too much.

I know what you mean though.

My brother when he was younger swore in his past life he was in the army. He would tell terrific stories of it, and very detailed. My mother truely believed in his previous life he was in the army.
