ok, i went out with this girl i really like, a couple of times. Everything was going great, but then, she stopped calling me. When i asked her why, she told me that she isnt ready for a relationship, even tho she said "i really really like you" and that she loves spending time with me. She then said that she wants us to be friends. Should i give up right now or chase it? Is she letting me down gently by saying this?

what if she genuinly does really really like you, but for reasons unknown to you feel uncertain or uncomfortable with a relationship?

do you know anything about her relationships in the past? if so, do they suggest any reason why she may be reluctant to give it a go?

Okay. Chances are, she really does like you, but the vibe she is getting from you is that you like her more than she wants you to. Give the calling a break, and in a few days make plans to go out with a group of people, and invite her along. Let her know that you like spending time with her, but that you respect her boundaries and don't push her. If she wants more, she'll give you a sign...and if not, you still have a friend!

Take a look at what you were doing or something you said may of scared her a little taking time with relationships are good, the fact that she stopped calling you all together indicates that she dosnt' want to be friends otherwise she would of made that clear instead of ignoring you.

Move on from this lady and find soemone that will appreciate youf or you....Good Luck

Yeah i think she is letting you down gently,it sounds like she does just want to be friends, because when a woman likes someone they normally just go for it,unless shes just come out of a relationship,if so she might just be taking time out for herself

hmm...did you come on too strong? well if she says she isn't ready for a relationship then maybe she isn't ready. it is pointless to chase. so i would just let go if i were you and if she changes her mind she will contact you. however i am not suggesting that you wait indefinitely for her to make her mind up. just carry on with your live and if it is meant to be it will be. good luck

If you want more than friendship give in gracefully she has been perfectly honest with you, you were perhaps to full on with her when she wasnt ready, back off she will contact you if she still wants you in her life. Good luck to you.

I think if she's not ready for a relationship you should just respect that and be her friend
