i just got through the house breaking stage with my puppy. i would take him out like every 2 or 3 hours or anytime he started sniffing. everytime he done something outside i praise him while still outside and then when we get back inside before the door is shut. along with the praise i give treats for anything positive. when your puppy makes a mistake use the word "no" as punishment and pay no attention to your puppy for at least 5 minutes. won't take long. your pup will understand what it has to do or not to do for your attention.

My dad is quite a pro at this and females do learn a lot quicker than males. I know it will be hard but you have to discipline him. If you poops you need to show him that what he did was wrong by using a loud tone of voice. And when he does poop in the house put him in his kennel or on a leash and have him lay by your side. Make sure to put your dog in a kennel whenever you go out. this has worked for my family for 3 dogs and i hope it works for you

My vet told me this one. When he poops or pees in the house show the puppy tell him bad but do not yell. Then clean the pee or poop with a paper towel and take it outside put it in the yard and let your puppy sniff it and tell him good boy or girl. takes a few times but it helped with ours.

crate training is a wonderful way to housebreak. most dogs and pups that can hold their urine will not go potty where they sleep. the crate needs to be big enough for her to stand up turn around and lay back down. she will come to find this as a safe place if not used for punishment.
