Poor little one. Moms are always getting what their bundles of joy get. Most of the time anyway. Take some precautions, wash hands frequently, take Airborne, or Remedy. Something that discourages the onset of a really bad cold or flu. That way if you get it maybe you wont get it quite as bad if at all. Theres really no way around not getting exposed.
I sure hope your little one starts feeling better. Make sure to keep him or her VERY hydrated.
Best Wishes

The virus that causes "stomach flu" is called norovirus. When you have diarrea or vomiting with norovirus, you are releasing millions of viral particles. It only takes about 10 particles to cause illness. The best defense is to wash your hands often, especially before eating. Wash with soap and warm water for 20 seconds. Use a bleach-based cleaner to clean up (just make sure you don't use it around fabrics).
As dehydration is the biggest problem with this disesae, especially in the very young, make sure that you give the baby pedialyte to make sure dehydration doesn't happen. The vomiting usually last about 36 to 48 hours, although you still don't feel great for a few days after.

You can, the least of your worries. Get him/her some piediolite and keep him full of fluids so he/she doesn't dehydrate, keep him/her warm and watch for temperature.

If he is sick then more than likely you will get it. These viruses make our kiddos contagious before we even know they are sick
