I just dyed my hair around 2 1/2 hours ago. Its completely dry, and I guess its had enough time to set in.
Is it okay to straighten it? Or should I wait longer?
[If the color matters, its a dark , almost purpleish red.]

It depends on the hair type
I have thin hair but i have a lot of it.... i used to dye my hair about 2 time a month if not more, and i paid my hair fell out... but only parts of it, its okay to straighten your hair after you dye it.
But PLEASE run your hands though your hair, if it feels really dry like hay or if its rough LEAVE IT ALONE. especially if you have hair in your hand after you run them though it.
If its silky and smooth, your fine.

I dye my hair all the time. About 3 times a month. I straighten it every morning and night. It's still full and has tons of body. For anyone with thin or thinning hair I don't recomend dying it or styling it. Blow drying is bad enough. The worst thing I ever did was get the color on my straightener. But you couldn't see any spots in the hair.

It also depends on the products you use and the type of dye you used. Ammonia free is the way to be!

NO NO NO
You need to wait for the cuticle to go back down.
When you color your hair, the cuticle swells, and thats where the damage to hair comes from.
Wait about 2 weeks. NO fun, I know, but its the best so your hair wont be a cotton ball!!

no..do not do anything to you hair yet. Wait three or four days before you even wash your hair. Then, i guess you can straighten it

before straighten your hair invest in a moisture mask for your hair to leave in over night. try straighten it with a serum NOT WITHOUT for protection.

dont straighten u hair with dye in it, but if u have washed, yea u can straighten it

i would say wait till tomorrow cuz you've just done some damage to your hair, so yea i would wait if i was you
