It is scary when you realize what people who connect the celibacy of Catholic priests to the sexual abuse of children are actually saying -- that the only thing keeping THEM from raping babies is access to an adult sexual partner who is never sick, away, or just not in the mood.
Marriage does not prevent child-molestation. Child molesters are actually MORE likely to be likely to be either married or formerly married than the average American man (77% v. 73%).

With all the positive constructive activities and good in the world and all there is to do and learn, it is far easier than the 'sexually obsessed perverts' can even imagine to gain high spiritual and financial return and not even think about it. The challenge is finding clean enough people to be around these days.........
Then again, maybe the Catholic church has a higher foundation, better oversight/transparency, and better whistleblowers...

I think if they let those poor Catholic priests have wives they would be less tempted.
Sex was created by God and yes other Christians I will say it. . . . for pleasure! He created it, we perverted it!
It was meant within the boundaries of marriage. Think of it like this . . . a fire in a stove can heat, illuminate it is actually useful and enjoyable. A fire without its confines is dangerous, destroys and can kill quickly.

You're being pretty black or white here. Sometimes if someone is in enforced celibacy, they do things they wouldn't normally do. Why do you think there's so much homosexual sex in prison?
