No. It is not a sign of old age. I believe that your are only as old as you feel. Do you think a 60 year old woman who enjoys sex, skidiving and such is old? I am 26 and I prefer home to outings. It is a choice not a sign of old age. I personally just have more fun at home and it is a lot safer. I dont trust people very much including myself. I try to help when I can, but everything I need is here so what do I need to go out for other than the occational shopping trip.

Not a sign of old age, just a sign that you've grown-up. I can remember when it happened to me, I was really confused about why I know longer was having fun going out and partying, but then I decided to just go with what I enjoyed and that was staying home. I have a friend who is in her 30's, a Mom to 2 boys, and she parties a ridiculous amount, and even has had to walk home, drunk, with her boys, at 4:00 in the morning. Sad, very sad.

I have been doing that this year also. Its just you like your solitude. Not because of old age. I m no spring chicken either and I had rather be at home in the comforts of my own surroundings. Hubby get PO's sometimes when he wants to go out and eat or whatever. I make a lame excuse just to stay at home. Saving gas and money i s my take. You might call me a hermit. But its just the way I feel. I dont see anything wrong in this.
