By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
That's the gist of it. But, of course, one has to realize their need for Christ in the first place. Since we're all sinners & alienated from the life God and dead in our trespasses and sins...we're, by nature, objects of God's wrath. Since God is a holy being - He can't tolerate sin. So, in order for us to have a relationship with Him, we have to be perfect. But, who is perfect? No one. That is, except Jesus. He was the only perfect man who ever walked the face of the Earth. And because of His righteous life, He sacrificed Himself for our sins...which satisified God's wrath. So, since Jesus is the only one whom God is pleased with...we can only be at peace with God through Christ. And it's when we place our faith in Him that He declares us righteous. Not because of what we've done. But because of what Christ has done. It's by grace - unmerited favor. Not by works.
And He's more than willing to receive you as His own.
"All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out." (John 6:37)

There are 4 things you need to know that will get you started into the Christian faith. 4 basic truths that everyone needs to know:
1) Apart from Christ we are helpless and sinful. We deserve death.
2) We are saved by grace, through faith. Not the other way around.
3) Jesus came to save sinners like you and me. Remember, we are ALL sinners.
4) We are saved to joyfully obey and serve the Lord. That's what we're ment to do.
Once you get those 4 things, move on to the next level. Pray with God and read his Word. (I suggest a student NIV Bible. Even if you're not a student, it really helps. Especially with the reading plan things =^)
Have a great day! God bless!

It's pretty easy.. praying is the best way to talk with God. Try going to a few churches and seeing which religion is most comfortable for you (Lutheran, Catholic, Methodist, etc.) Then take it further - read the Bible, volunteer at a homeless shelter, and spread the Word!

You are already in one because He knows us all by name. Some of us no Him in a different more personal way. He is a very good listener and will always be there for you if you truly want His help. He even helps when we dont ask. Just talk to Him in prayer.

1.Admit you are a sinner. The Bible, God's Holy Word, says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" Romans 3:10; also Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
2.You must realize that sin bears a penalty. Romans 6:23 states, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Revelations 20:14 says, "And death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
3. You must accept the fact that Jesus has already paid the sin debt you owe. We read in Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Christ died to pay the penalty for your sins because He loves you and cares about you.
4. You must accept by faith what Christ has done for you. Again from the book of Romans 10:9 we read, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt beleive in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Friend if you wish to know you're going to heaven ask Jesus into your heart right now. Its easy. Pray a prayer like this one: Dear God I know I'm a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ your Son died for me and shed His blood to pay the price for my sins. I am willing to turn from my sins. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life as my perfect Savior. Amen.
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior, then this is the beginning of a new and beautiful life for you. To help you along here are a few suggestions:
Read your King James Bible everyday to get to know Christ better.
Talk to God everyday in prayer.
Be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is taught and the Bible is the final authority.
Tell others about what Jesus Christ has done for you.
Christ is your only hope for heaven. Don't put off this decision. You don't know in these times how soon you might be meeting Jesus.
"Be not afraid, only believe." Mark 5:36

It's a process over time, it's not going to happen overnight. But there are steps to take. First pray and ask the Father into your heart (mind) and life. Ask for change of you. Ask for guidance and direction. Ask for forgiveness of your sins. Do all this in Jesus name (authority).
Come to the reality that as long as you dwell in the flesh body you are going to fall short. All are sinners. Repentance is a change of mind not a license to sin. Perfection is maturity or full age in His Word. We are to produce fruit and glorify Christ.
His Word is an life learning process. Trust this man or no man unless you check it out in His Word. I've been at it earnestly for 16 years. I'm producing fruit but feel I'm still in the process. Don’t clean house (clean up your act) without filling that void with the Word of God.
Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
Luke 11:25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
Luke 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
By the way, born again means born from above, check it out.
